Event / Taking back the remote control - The art of effective self-leadership
HFMA Northern Branch & NENC Skills Development Network would like to invite you to attend a 60 minute lunch time session with John Sunderland-Wright - JS Achieve
12:30 - 13:30 via Zoom
In the past 18 months we have dealt with the most challenging of times.
Uncertainty, a sense of loss of control and changes to our working practices have made it difficult to manage ourselves. Whilst these challenges still exist, we now have to get used to a new norm. This means more transition/change - so how are you going to do it? What can you do about it? How are you going to take back control of the remote?
This session is all about how you can do that. Taking back the remote is all about how you can build your capacity to deal with challenges, to focus your mind and build habits that improve your own performance. We want to continue to encourage you to lead, to be confident and take ownership of what you do and how you do it.
You will learn and practice techniques that will help develop your self-leadership skills.
At the end of the workshop delegates will:
• Learn about energy renewal
• Have developed a range of “daily private victories”.
• Understand the brain’s primary function and how to build certainty and autonomy.
• Learn about and use the pause button technique
• Understand the language of proactive vs reactive
• Use the circle of control and identify what they can control
• Learn how to develop their Power.
• Learn the freeze-frame technique for taking control of worries.
• Lean about and use the “Go-mad thinking” goal setting process
• Develop a plan for making the most of the new normal
Please note as this is a joint event bookings are available via www.skillsdevelopmentnetwork.com
