The HFMA Yorkshire and Humber branch and Skills Development Yorkshire and Humber branch would like to invite you attend the Mental Health Champion event taking place online on the 3rd June 2024 in Leeds.

Healthy people are happier, more engaged and more productive. Employers across the UK are acting now to support the wellbeing of their people and create mentally healthy businesses.

Stress, anxiety and depression are the biggest cause of sickness absence in our society. Mental ill health is responsible for 71 million working days lost every year. Simple steps to improve the management of mental health in the workplace will allow employers to save 30% or more of these costs. This is where this course can help.

The Course is experiential, so you will be kept busy doing exercises, group discussions, watching videos and being challenged around your perception of Mental Health. The day is interactive and transactional, so an open mind is essential.

Some people find certain areas of the course emotional so do be prepared for this, we are obviously dealing with a sensitive subject and your own experiences around this may well surface.

What will be covered?

  • About Mental Health First Aid
  • About mental health and stress in the workplace
