The HFMA's advanced qualifications programme offers learners a choice of seven modules at master's level, each worth 30 credits. These can either be completed as a certificate qualification (one module worth 30 credits) or as a diploma qualification (two modules worth 60 credits). By completing two diplomas, you will gain 120 credits and can choose to apply for the final stage MBA with the University of Northampton.

The HFMA advanced qualification certificates are relevant to individuals aspiring to develop senior strategic and leadership skills who are currently working in clinical, financial, managerial and operational roles.

Qualified accountants with more than two years experience working in the NHS are eligible for a 60 credit exemption, when applying for an HFMA diploma. This means if accepted, individuals can study just two modules to be eligible to apply for the final stage MBA.
