Briefing / The HFMA’s response to the HMRC’s consultation on salary sacrifice for the provision of benefits in kind

Many NHS bodies provide salary sacrifice schemes both as a cost improvement initiative but also as part of their recruitment and retention package.  Our consultation highlights the issues that this change in tax arrangements would cause for those NHS bodies that run such schemes and the staff that are already signed up to them.
