Dame Linda Pollard has been Chair at Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust since February 2013 and has led the Trust through many successes. Alongside General Sir Gordon Messenger she co-authored the Messenger/Pollard Review on Leadership and Management in the NHS which was published in 2022. Linda will discuss the leadership challenges and pressures facing the NHS, the importance of integrated working, exploring the issues surrounding finance and governance and a look ahead at the opportunities available. Linda is a passionate advocate for innovation and the associated benefits, with a particular focus on the Trust’s historic Old Medical School being transformed into a globally recognised health-tech innovation hub as part of the wider plans for a multi-million pound Innovation Village in Leeds.
