HFMA response / Consultation response on NHS Pension Scheme: increased flexibility
The HFMA’s response to the main consultation query was that the flexibilities should be made available to all members of the NHS Pension Scheme. Evidence was submitted, based on the survey of members, that staff other than clinicians are affected by the annual allowance and lifetime allowance issue.
The response highlighted concerns that the proposals would be discriminatory as well as practical concerns about the resource required to manage the new flexibilities.Related content
