HFMA vice president and director of finance
Claire is currently the director of finance at Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board. Prior to this she has held a number of senior roles at local, regional and national level.
Claire began her career in the NHS on the National Financial Management Training Scheme in 1996. Since then, she has spent most of her career working within the North West in a number of NHS provider organisations and at the strategic health authority before going on to spend two years as the chief of staff to the chief finance officer of NHS England.
Claire is chair of the HFMA’s ICB Finance Group.
