News alert / Vaping consultation
A consultation is being held on the proposed actions of the UK government and devolved administrations to tackle smoking and youth vaping. The consultation, which closes on 6 December, seeks feedback on proposals to create the first smoke-free generation. It also asks about proposals to crack down on youth vaping and ensure the law is enforced and to introduce powers for local authorities in England and Wales to issue fixed penalty notices to enforce age of sale legislation of tobacco products and vapes.
