News alert / Hospital discharge funding
The Department of Health and Social Care has published its evaluation of 2022/23 hospital discharge funding streams – a £500m adult social care discharge fund and a £200m step-down fund for integrated care boards. The findings suggest that in most cases funding was used to increase the number of discharges and reduce discharge delays. The Department also commissioned the King’s Fund to conduct research into the experiences of six local areas.
