Event / HFMA Eastern Branch lunch and learn: Communicating effectively with budget holders

Sam Garrett, Financial controller, Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS FT, will be sharing her experience as a Financial and Clinical Engagement (FACE) representative in a Provider Trust. She will also encourage delegates to share their own experiences and ideas on how to effectively communicate with budget holders.

The session will cover several topics, including

• making a positive first impression and building rapport with non-finance personnel
• selecting the preferred communication method of the audience
• breaking down complex financial data into key messages, and
• making financial information relatable to operational staff
