  • what health inequalities are
  • what drives health inequalities
  • why they are important when considering the populations we care for
  • what it all means for the NHS pound

Speaker:

Jayne Needham, Director for Strategy, Partnerships and Population Health/Consultant in Public Health

Jayne qualified as an EHO in 1990, and following 17 years working in a number of local authorities across the East Midlands moved into Public Health within the NHS after obtaining registration as a Consultant in Public Health in 2009. More recently Jayne has worked within both local authority and NHS organisations and currently holds a multi focused role with Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust as the Director for Strategy, and Consultant in Public Health.

Jayne’s passion is in taking action to reduce health inequalities, something which has come sharply into focus as a result of COVID-19
