Briefing / NHS finance function in profile

At the end of 2008, the HFMA launched its Building world class finance initiative. One strand of work identified by the initiative was to develop a better understanding of the make-up of the NHS finance function.

The first year of this data collection was 2009. The HFMA worked closely with the NHS Finance Skills Development (FSD) team, both nationally and within local strategic health authorities.
