Starting in Canada, Robert has worked for over 36 years in healthcare related roles.   For 9 years to March 2023, he was director for Health vfm audit at the National Audit office, which followed 8 years as Executive director of finance at Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust.  His experience includes finance director roles in other NHS acute hospitals and health authorities along with London based independent hospitals.  He is a fellow of the HFMA and served on its national policy & research committee for a number of years.
