Andrea is a qualified accountant (FCCA) who has worked in the NHS for over 30 years, most recently as deputy chief executive and chief finance officer for Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

During her time with the NHS she has gained experience working within acute, mental health, learning disability, community and ambulance services and has led finance, procurement, estates and information teams.

Andrea is particularly proud of her leadership of the Cheshire and Merseyside Procurement Network, and most notably through the pandemic where 18 organisations worked effectively together to support front line care delivery, and has left a legacy for strategic and operational collaboration of procurement services across the ICS footprint.

Andrea left the NHS at the end of September 2023, however she remains a strong advocate and supporter of NHS finance staff development and retains the lead role for the development and implementation of the National Talent Management Strategy on behalf of the Finance Leadership Council and National Finance Academy.

Andrea has moved abroad to live and work in Gibraltar to support and advise on the development of health and care policy and transformation. Andrea is working in dual roles, as finance and procurement adviser to the Ministry of Health, Care and Business, and director of finance for the Care Agency
