News alert / Managers awarded 6.5% pay increase (Scotland)
Executive and senior management in the NHS in Scotland are set to receive a pay uplift of 6.5% or £3,755, whichever is smaller, according to a circular released by the Scottish government. This means that whole time staff currently earning £57,769 or less will qualify for the percentage increase, while those earning more qualify for the fixed amount increase. The rise takes effect from April 2023 and mirrors the agenda for change pay award. In addition, all affected whole time staff will also receive a non-consolidated one-off payment of £939. Part time staff will also receive the uplift and non-consolidated payment on a pro-rata basis.
