News alert / Education and training tariffs
The Department of Health and Social Care has published guidance to provide further information on the education and training (ET) tariff payment process for 2023/24. The rates have been increased in-year to reflect the outcomes of the medical and agenda for change pay deals. Compared with previously published tariffs, an additional 2% uplift has been applied to medical and dental undergraduate placements and to medical postgraduate trainee rates, and clinical placement tariffs have been increased by 3%. The guidance includes a table detailing the revised tariff prices.
