News alert / Digital telephony deadline
NHS England has announced that contracts for practices moving to digital telephony must be signed before 15 December to guarantee funding. NHS England has committed to moving all practices using analogue telephony to digital, funding any incumbent supplier costs and implementation costs needed for the transition, including digital headsets. Eligible practices must sign a digital telephony contract by 15 December to ensure they go live by the end of March 2024 and that funding is spent this financial year. Funding is not available beyond this financial year. Any practices moving to digital telephony beyond these dates will need to bear the costs themselves. All practices must move by 2025, when the analogue network will be switched off across the UK.
