Branch / North West Branch

Welcome to the branch

We are proud to represent almost 1,000 members, and as such we have split the work of the committee into three areas, all with the committee members supporting them:

  • conference,
  • membership and events
  • support for those working in bands 2 to 6. 

These arrangements support equality and inclusion, and the integration of staff from across all of the organisations in the North West of England. Our aims are to build upon its successful training and development programme by delivering a series of events that are aimed at all levels within the finance community. We have close relationships with the One NHS Finance (ONF) and many of the committee members are closely involved with the ONF programmes of work.

The next North West Branch annual conference is planned to take place in June 2024.

What makes the branch unique?

Membership

The branch plans to retain its local membership by delivering a series of in person and virtual events for the finance community. The new band 2–6 Committee will ensure that the voices of our newest members are heard and that they can influence what is delivered locally.

Bands 2 to 6 shadow committee

The shadow committee has been established to engage our Band 2-6 members, deliver value for them and support their development. In 23/24 the shadow committee will be chaired by members of the main branch committee, however it is expected that within two years the shadow committee will be self-directed by Band 2 -6 members. Ideas and engagement from this committee feed into conference, membership and events and main committee as required.
