Overview

Leaders and aspiring leaders in today’s NHS face immense challenges that require exceptional personal and professional skills and characteristics. Managers are faced with multiple and competing demands and priorities. As pressure on public finance increases, innovative approaches, personal drive and having the ability to make things happen are increasingly important.

Across the NHS, there is a growing need to work at increased pace and at scale. This means changing and adapting to meet the challenges that managing significantly larger organisations bring.
In a world of media, regulator and public scrutiny, this module will help the learner to gain greater self-awareness and an understanding of approaches to personal effectiveness and leadership that will enable them to lead and manage across the healthcare system.
