Policy manager
Fiona is a CIMA qualified accountant who has spent most of her career in the NHS costing arena at several providers bridging all secondary care sectors. She also spent several years in the transformation team in a large acute trust improving and ensuring effective data flows for the electronic patient record, and most recently worked at NHS England leading development of the Approved Costing Guidance. She joined the HFMA in 2023 as part of the policy and research team, with a portfolio that includes costing, payment systems and delivering value from digital technologies. In her current role, Fiona supports the Payment Systems and Specialised Services group, the Digital Council, and the Costing Group as part of the Healthcare Costing for Value Institute.
