The purpose of this document is to act as additional support to the Department of Health's guidance on programme budgeting, providing hints and tips to anyone who will be completing the return for the first time.
The DH guidance on programme budgeting is comprehensive and easy to understand. It is therefore worth spending some time familiarising yourself with the guidance before you start.
Please note: although there may be aspects of this guide which are out of date the HFMA has decided to continue to make the guide available because some information will continue to be of interest.
