Paul von der Heyde has been Chair of NHS Somerset since December 2021. Prior to that he was Chair at Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he also spent time as Audit Chair.
Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and was in practice in central London for almost 30 years specialising in business development and corporate finance as well as providing general financial, governance and taxation advice to a wide range of clients. Following that he was Chief Executive of the UK arm of a major international group for 11 years.
He also chairs a number of small businesses and two national Charities.
