HFMA tutor and coach

Iain has experience of integrated and collaborative working across health systems as a finance director and accountable officer in both the NHS and private sector. Before the NHS he worked in financial services and retail distribution across UK.

He is a teaching fellow at Lancaster University Management School on strategy implementation and is a tutor and course developer for the HFMA master's level qualifications. 

An experienced and qualified coach and mentor, Iain understands the benefits of a non-intrusive style to help you deal with problems and ambiguities in a complex environment. His approach is to present you with the tools, challenges and support you need to improve your own performance without giving cook-book solutions.

Iain is a chartered accountant, business finance professional, and chartered tax advisor; his first degree is from Emmanuel College, Cambridge and he has an MBA from Lancaster University Management School.

Iain enjoys helping people at all levels build their personal resilience and develop their understanding of integrated care systems and personalised care. In his NHS career he worked in complex health economies delivering transformational change in challenged financial environments.
