Emily has worked in public sector audit for the whole of her 20+ year career. After being promoted to director in 2019, she has worked primarily with NHS clients, both in external audit and internal audit roles and more recently as Grant Thornton’s national NHS Value for Money Director within public sector assurance.

During her career, Emily has worked with some of the largest trusts and blue light clients in the country. She has delivered complex external audits for clients including the transfer of services and significant financial sustainability challenges. In her national VfM role, Emily’s focus is now on the wider NHS, helping integrated care systems use their resources in a more efficient and effective way and working with providers on their key risk areas relating to financial sustainability, workforce and meeting statutory operational targets.
