Ed is the deputy CFO for Strategic Finance and Planning at NHS England and is responsible for development of the future financial strategy for the NHS in England. Ed has previously held various senior roles at NHS England and in the Civil Service and was most recently Director of Primary Care for England, in which capacity he led development of the five year contract deals for GPs and Community Pharmacists that supported the NHS Long Term Plan. He was the NHS SRO for the response to Covid -19 across primary care and including a period on secondment to the Covid Vaccination Programme working directly to Dame Emily Lawson where he was responsible for establishing the network of GP and Community Pharmacy vaccination sites.
