NHS England has published a commissioner assignment method (CAM) flowchart for 2024/25. This sits alongside the ‘Who Pays?’ guidance published by NHS England and is intended to give clarity as to which NHS organisation has responsibility for commissioning an individual’s care and which has responsibility for paying for that care. The guidance is aimed at people who provide commissioner code data for commissioning and activity-based datasets. This might include people working for healthcare providers, NHS England, commissioning support organisations or integrated care boards.
