Event / HFMA Eastern Branch: Introduction to NHS finance 2024
About this event
The Introduction to NHS Finance event is designed to give a basic grasp of how the NHS works and how it’s financed, while explaining the bewildering array of jargons and acronyms. It is aimed at people working in finance in the East of England and complements the One NHS Finance Demystifying NHS Finance course.
How would you benefit?
Attendance at this event will provide delegates with a better understanding of NHS Financial issues in their current or next role as well as providing CPD hours and networking opportunities.
Who should attend?
- Those who are new to NHS Finance (including finance staff working in Social Enterprises and other non-NHS organisations);
- Those who are keen to understand more about different areas of finance in the NHS (including staff looking to understand more about ICB or Trust finances);
- It may also be useful for staff working outside of finance (e.g. commissioners or budget holders).
Attendance at the One NHS Finance session on Demystifying NHS Finance prior to this event will be an advantage, particularly for staff working outside of NHS Finance.
