This group provides an independent, cross-sector voice on costing in the NHS. The group supports trusts to improve costing, champions the benefits of high quality costing information and communicates its important role in supporting transformation and underpinning decision making in the NHS.
The council oversees the running and governance of the HFMA's Healthcare Costing for Value Institute and continues the work of the strategic costing group in discussing and championing high quality costing and value-based decision-making around the performance and delivery of services
This group acts as a technical expert reference group on costing R&D in the NHS. the group works to progress the capture and allocation of R&D costing within PLICS and improve the accuracy of R&D budgeting and bidding.
