Lisa Robertson, Policy and research manager, HFMA
Lisa joined the HFMA policy and research team in November 2016. As a policy and research manager, she produces publications, briefings, webinars, blogs and consultation responses. Her areas of expertise are governance, audit, finance staff development, ethics, local authorities and partnerships. She supports the HFMA’s Environmental and Sustainability Committee; Governance and Audit committee; Policy and Research Committee; and System Finance Lead Special Interest Group, as well as taking a lead on HFMA’s research in Wales.
Lisa began her career as part of the Audit Commission graduate programme, training as a CIPFA qualified accountant. She has over twenty years external audit experience in the public sector, having worked within health, local government, police and education sectors. She has worked with a number of health clients including acute, community, mental health, commissioning and charitable funds. In 2012, Lisa joined Grant Thornton. As a senior manager she took on the London and South East regional lead roles for both the NHS provider sector and people development. She is driven to help the NHS and the wider public sector to deliver high quality and sustainable services for the public.
