Tracey Simpson, Deputy Chief Finance Office, Tameside and Glossop Strategic Commission (NHS Tameside & Glossop CCG & Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council)
Tracey commenced her NHS career in 1992. Her first appointment was with West Pennine Health Authority before transferring to Tameside and Glossop (T&G) Community and Priority Services NHS Trust (latterly Pennine Care NHS FT) where she remained until 2002.
Since 2002, Tracey has worked in a commissioning environment in a variety of different roles moving to T&G PCT in 2006 where she still remains today albeit now the CCG.
As a CIMA qualified accountant, she has held several senior manager roles progressing to Deputy Chief Finance Officer in 2012 and has held the role of Acting CFO covering a temporary period of absence. She now works alongside Council colleagues in the Tameside and Glossop Strategic Commission leading the integration of Health with Council finance to drive clinically safe and financially sustainable services for the local residents. This has resulted in Tracey and her team receiving several national and regional Awards.
Tracey has recently led the compilation and submission of the GM Phase 3 recovery plans for GM CCGs supporting colleagues at GM Health and Social Care Partnership.
Tracey is currently Vice Chair of the HFMA Commissioning Forum.
