Welcome to West Midlands

The HFMA hosts finance, procurement and digital health skills development for the West Midlands region. We are committed to providing comprehensive high-quality events, webinars and leadership programmes for all finance and procurement staff throughout all stages of their careers.

Our annual joint programme is developed locally with our FSD and PSD leads, PSD board, SDN board and DHSD board. This ensures the content reflects the requirements of each organisaiton as well as being guided by the national view. In addition to providing invaluable CPD opportunities. The West Midlands SDN programme provides colleagues with a platform to network and share best practice.

SDN programme

Our SDN programme offers a comprehensive selection of training and development opportunities for all levels of NHS finance and procurement staff. The content is crafted following a training needs analysis conducted through FSD and PSD leads meetings and a survey of all users. The programme is reviewed regularly, and feedback collected and analysed post event to ensure a level of quality you can trust.

All training is CPD accredited, through HFMA’s status as an accredited provider.

The SDN and HFMA Branch board

In order to ensure the training and development offering continues to meet the requirements of the region, the programme is governed by a joint SDN and HFMA branch board, chaired by Jon Cooke, Heath Education England.

PSD board

Our West Midlands PSD board meet quarterly to help inform our vision and feed into the content of the annual programme. In addition to spearheading educational training and events, the board supports organisations to become accredited employers.
