The HFMA hosts finance and procurement skills development for the south-central region. We are committed to providing comprehensive high-quality events, webinars and leadership programmes for all finance and procurement staff throughout all stages of their careers.
Our annual joint finance and procurement programme is developed locally with our FSD and PSD leads and SDN board. This ensures the content reflects the requirements of each organisation as well as being guided by the national view. In addition to providing invaluable CPD opportunities. The South Central SDN programme provides colleagues with a platform to network and share best practice.
The SDN and HFMA branch board
In order to ensure that the training and development offering continues to meet the needs of the region, the programme is governed by a joint SDN and HFMA branch board, chaired by Nicky Lloyd, Chief Finance Officer, Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
Our SDN programme offers a comprehensive selection of training and development opportunities for all levels of NHS finance and procurement staff.
The content is crafted following a training needs analysis conducted through FSD and PSD leads meetings and a survey of all users. The programme is reviewed regularly, and feedback is collected and analysed post event to ensure a level of quality you can trust. Our programme is built around a number of key development areas:
- Skills development
- CPD/technical seminars
- Finance for non-finance
- Leadership and management
All training is CPD accredited, through HFMA’s status as an accredited provider.
