This module helps learners build an understanding of VAT and, in particular, how VAT is applied in the NHS. It is intended to help people who have no direct involvement with VAT processes understand that the decisions they make may have VAT implications.

Who will benefit?

Budget holders, operational managers, business managers, administrative staff and those new to NHS finance. Anyone who is making purchases on behalf of an NHS body.

If you are studying towards the Introductory Award in Healthcare Finance this module can be counted alongside the compulsory module Introduction to NHS Finance as one of your five modules.

If you are studying towards the Introductory Award in Healthcare Finance this module can be counted alongside the compulsory module 'NHS finance (England) - an overview of NHS finance, the challenges and future of the NHS' as one of your five modules.

What happens after I have completed my purchase?
