Tracy Mayes, Deputy CFO at NHS East Riding of Yorkshire CCG
Tracy Mayes is the Deputy CFO at NHS East Riding of Yorkshire CCG and currently operating as a Programme Director within Humber, Coast and Vale ICS. Tracy completed the full MBA programme with HFMA and was accredited with the inaugural Tony Whitfield award as HFMA Student of the Year 2017. Acknowledged by the Financial Conduct Authority, Tracy was one of the first women under 30 to be a Non-Executive Director for Financial Services Friendly Society.
An experienced qualified accountant, she has worked for over 16 years’ across both private and public sector finance teams. Her knowledge within NHS finance, strategy and contracting provides a solid foundation for delivering results. With NHS finance experience across both commissioning and provider sectors she is very passionate about the workings of NHS finance and links to HFMA. Tracy is intent on the values and principles behind the NHS and ardently believes this drives her career successes to date. She is also an active participant in Future Focused Finance as Value Make and a member of her local HFMA branch; both roles Tracy believes are essentially to encouraging the development of future talent across the finance sector.
As a senior leader, her current role leading the CCG finance, contracts and procurement function, she strives to deliver value for the local health system whilst working to achieve patient outcomes in line with the CCG strategy. Building on this passion, within her MBA dissertation, she worked to outline the development of strategic finance roles required in an ICS which Tracy hopes will start to evolve the future workforce development for the finance sector.
