Jack Hardman, Head of Costing for NHS England and NHS Improvement

Jack currently heads up the cost transformation programme at NHS England and Improvement in the delivery of the national cost collection where costs are collected at patient level. He has been in costing for over ten years in both the private and public sector, taking learnings from secondary care across countries such as Australia, Dubai, Germany and Canada. He moved to NHS Improvement just over 2 years ago as he believes that the National Cost Collection will improve the quality of costing information in the NHS, with patient-level costing (PLICS) and its single annual cost collection will support providers to deliver better, more efficient outcomes as well as the payment approaches within the NHS.
