Management of this included large retendering exercises and establishment of a dialysis subsidiary which awakened an interest in clinical finance. Since then she has been involved in various national renal finance projects including overhaul of costing documentation and tariff development, and is currently the chair of the Clinical Reference Group for renal within NHS E/I specialised commissioning which includes leading the recently established NHS E/I Renal Services Transformation Programme. Her interests have also broadened to other areas of health finance she is Assistant Medical Director with a portfolio of Finance and Value at UHB. This is a role designed to act as a bridge between finance and clinical professionals to allow better navigation of the value agenda for the hospital. She is a current Health Foundation Generation Q fellow. Outside of work she has two teenage children and therefore mainly acts as a taxi driver and cook!
