Andrew Carapiet, Director and Founder of Media Training company Media Friendly, is a former BBC Television Producer for national BBC News and is one of the UK’s most experienced Communications Skills coaches specialising in the public sector within the UK. Andrew has worked for BBC Radio and BBC Television as a Reporter, Producer, Correspondent, Presenter and News Editor. Andrew has worked as a Senior Producer on BBC Breakfast News and the BBC’s One O’clock and Ten O’clock News and also as a Health Correspondent. Andrew was the youngest ever BBC journalist to interview Mrs Thatcher when she was Prime Minister. He served on the BBC’s Ten Year Strategy Committee.

Andrew has also worked as a Producer for Sky News and for Mirror Group Newspapers. He formed the Communications Skills consultancy, Media Friendly, twenty years ago and has been delivering media training to the public and private sectors at the highest executive and management levels. Since 2012, Andrew has been used by Civil Service Learning to deliver media training to senior Civil Servants from the wider Civil Service and many Government Departments.
