Amanda Wilkinson, Head of Service Operational Police Custody and Liaison and Diversion, Leeds Community Healthcare
Amanda has worked in the NHS for 32 years starting as a pharmacy technician in an acute trust, moving to a community setting as a HR manager and then into an operational management role. Ove the last 16 years at Leeds Community Healthcare she has had the opportunity to manage a variety of specialist services. Amanda’s passion is to work with those patients who are from underserved populations and she has done this in a variety of roles including homeless and gypsy traveller teams. Amanda has worked in Health and Justice settings for a number of years including Prison, Sexual Assault Referral Centres and now in Police custody. These roles have allowed her to work with dedicated teams who support the reduction of health inequalities for underserved populations, and has brought an opportunity to innovate and deliver healthcare in non-traditional settings.
