The winners of HFMA’s 2021 diversity and inclusion award share their journey, lessons learned and future plans for improving diversity and inclusion within finance teams. 

With an increasing national focus, it is an agenda that has been enthusiastically embraced by Airedale, where diversity ambassadors have helped to make significant improvements across the team over the past 18 months.

The webinar covers:

  • the role of diversity ambassadors and the efforts made to ensure they had a voice and were able to suggest changes
  • how the equality and diversity ambition has been built into the finance team’s five-year finance strategy and work plan
  • the use of dedicated development sessions
  • the introduction of shadowing opportunities in the department
  • the approach taken working across different teams – both within and outside finance
