About this webinar

IFRS 16 Leases will be implemented from 1 April 2022. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this is two years later than expected.

Preparations to implement the standard will involve establishing processes to review contracts to capture the necessary financial information and form robust judgements in regards to the lease documentation. This will ensure that budgets can be set appropriately and the year-end accounts can be prepared.

Since previous webinars held on IFRS 16, there have been some amendments to the guidance on how the standard will be applied in the public sector that will be covered in this webinar.

The webinar will be an opportunity for finance staff to ask questions as they plan to actually implement the standard from 1 April 2022.
