The Accounting & Standards Committee aims to promote high standards in accounting and financial reporting within NHS.
The committee has an active work programme, producing appropriate guidance for members in the areas of financial accounting and accounting standards. The committee also develops the popular Pre-Accounts Planning Conferences which are a key date in the HFMA calendar.
Membership is drawn from all sectors of the NHS and includes representatives from the Audit Commission, National Audit Office and the Department of Health. Meetings are held four times a year in London.
