The Introduction to Finance event is designed to give a basic grasp of the money flows and financial targets facing all NHS organisations. Understanding the NHS finance regime, complete with a bewildering array of jargon and acronyms, can be a daunting task.
This half-day course is designed to give you an insight; a foot in the door to understanding the intricacies, differences, and (frankly sometimes bizarre) objectives of NHS finance.
In addition to the course, you will be provided with your own copy of the latest edition of the Introductory Guide to NHS Finance, widely recognised as ‘the bible’ of NHS Finance.
Who is this event for?
• Those who are new to NHS Finance (including finance staff working in Social Enterprises and other non-NHS organisations);
• Those not working directly in NHS Finance (e.g. Clinical Commissioners, Practice Managers, etc.); and
• Those who require a better understanding of NHS Financial issues in their current or next role.
