Membership Information

Welcome to the HFMA membership page; currently we have over 3,000 individual members which include a significant number of senior finance staff.  We are continually looking to expand membership so that we enhance our reputation as being the ‘voice of healthcare finance’ and support you and your organisation.  

On these pages you can find out more information on joining the association including online applications and postal applications. Current members can also renew their membership or update membership records.

The Association appreciates all the support it gets from its members and in turn is committed to providing excellent value for money for you.  These include a first-class magazine ten times per year, the provision of state-of-the-art website with access to the member’s area, personal home page and news service, regular monthly e-mail bulletins and other networking opportunities.  

Next years fee for an Ordinary member has increased by £10.  This increase will provide further investment to support our new five-year strategy.  We recommend you pay the subscription by direct debit and the relevant form is attached here, if you haven’t already set up an arrangement already.  Please do not fax this form as banks can only act on the original signature.  All subscriptions are collected annually from 1st July each year.

The rates still represent exceptionally good value at £60 for Ordinary Members (AFC Band 5 and above working in the healthcare sector organisation or related supplier such as an auditor), £35 for abated members (those on AFC Band 4 and under or equivalent salary and retired) and £82 for Associate Members (working in a supplier, allied or related field to healthcare with a general interest in healthcare finance). If you pay by direct debit these fees are reduced by £5. 

You can also pay by BACS, cheque or credit card where you will be charged the normal rate - please send cheques to our office in Bristol or ring us with your credit card details.  For BACS payments, our account number is Nat West 79860508, sort code 60-40-08.

HFMA is a registered charity and is entitled to claim income tax back under the Gift Aid scheme.
