Professional Committees
Each of the Committees meets quarterly. They have a detailed work programme which is either delivered by members of the group or via appointed contractors or Branches. It is the Committee’s job to represent the Association’s professional interest on particular areas and it may peer-review any of the work from the various other sub-groups or special interest groups.

The Accounting & Standards committee meets four times a year and aims to promote high levels of accounting standards within the NHS.

The Corporate Governance and Audit Committee meet four times a year. The stated aim of the committee is to promote best practice and innovation in standards of Corporate Governance and Audit across the UK health economy and through HFMAs local & national networks.

The HFMA E learning Working group was set up in 2006 in response to the development of the Association's e-learning strategy. The group meet every six months but communicate regularly on a virtual basis.

The Financial Management & Research Committee meets 4 times a year. The aim of the committee is to undertake, commission or co-ordinate research into financial and related issues on behalf of HFMA, reporting back to members their findings in various ways (eg publications, articles, conference presentations etc).
