The Financial Management & Research Committee leads HFMA research into financial and related issues, reporting its findings through to members and the wider service.
The committee highlights best practice and innovation in financial management and produces guidance for practitioners in a variety of accessible formats. The HFMA Introductory Guide to NHS Finance is one of the committee’s most successful outputs.
Committee members are drawn from across the NHS and include representatives from the Audit Commission and the Department of Health. Meetings are held four times a year in London.
