Welcome to HFMA Yorkshire and Humber
The Yorkshire and Humber branch of HFMA is thriving with a packed programme of events and our annual conference coming up in January 2008, which we are running jointly with FSD.
The programme for the conference includes plenary and workshop sessions by top motivational speaker Marc Woods. We also have workshops on Lean Thinking and SLR/Patient Level Costing. Professor Alan Maynard will close the first day with a talk on The High Performing Board. On day two join us for Question Time with a panel of expert speakers including Foundation Trust, Ambulance Service and PCT Chief Executives, a Director of Public Health and a senior police officer.
The conference will be free of charge to delegates and individual HFMA members will get priority when places are allocated, so if you are not a member now is a good time to join. Information about booking places will be circulated to organisations in November.
Finally, I would just like to say a big thank you to PricewaterhouseCoopers who have kindly offered to sponsor the conference and will be running the SLR workshop. If the previous speakers they have provided are anything to go by it will be an excellent session. Also we would like to welcome Fine Green Associates who are sponsoring our newsletter and will have a stand at the conference.
